Kyoto is a city of multi-temporal dimension. Temporal dimension of the city of Kyoto can be experienced through various aspects, such as the different speed of change (of historical monuments, scenery, and the contemporaries), repetition of architectural and urban elements, mixture of both fixed and temporal elements, urban surface with weathering, flow of transportation and passers-by, the rivers and canals that run through the city, other interaction between artificial environment and the natural phenomena, etc. We were asked to capture the temporal dimension of urban texture of Kyoto from a very specific point of view, and make a short movie to express what you encounter during your field trip.
